Start An IFC Congregation

Become an IFC Minister

We encourage anyone over the age of 18 who finds the principles of Barbequia to resonate with them and who wishes to start a congregation of their own, to pursue the somewhat arduous path to become an ordained minister.

Unlike many organizations on the web, we do not give out Ministerial Certificates to raise money and appease a sense of ego with no merit.  We take ordination of ministers seriously and require an extensive understanding of the basic principles of Barbequia as well as the ability to implement them in a practical way.

Once the requirements have been met and a person is approved by the Council of Ministers, they may enter into a ministerial agreement with the IFC and become an ordained minister.

It does require a fair amount of study, understanding and ability to share appropriately which are all important in reflecting the correct image of the IFC through its ministers.

If you are interested in becoming a Minister, please contact the Presiding Minister and we will gladly review the requirements and work with you to help prepare you for this important undertaking. All potential ministers are guided in their training on a personal basis.

Once you are officially ordained a Minister of The Independent Faith Church you can be assured that you will have the knowledge and the tools you need to start a successful congregation and spread the Barbequian spiritual and life philosophy in your own unique way.
